Tuttavia, per ottenere progressi significativi in direzione della parità nei paesi in via di sviluppo partner dell'UE, quest'ultima deve affrontare sistematicamente gli ostacoli al raggiungimento dell'obiettivo che esistono sia nei paesi in questione, sia all'interno di alcuni meccanismi comunitari di cooperazione allo sviluppo.
However, if significant progress is to be made in the achievement of greater Gender Equality by the EU’s developing country partners, the EU needs to tackle systematically the constraints on the achievement of this goal that exist both on the side of developing countries themselves and inherent in some of the EU’s own development cooperation mechanisms.
