So these connections are very clear, and my advice would be: use all possible instruments to strengthen capacity at home; use – in smart ways – structural and cohesion funds, where they have committed the amount of framework programme actually for the purpose of that – EUR 50 billion is committed – and use that money so that in the future they would help themselves at home and they would help themselves also in the possibility to compete globally, because the world is global.
Deze verbanden zijn dus zeer duidelijk, en mijn advies zou zijn: gebruik alle mogelijke instrumenten om de capaciteit in eigen land te vergroten; gebruik – op een slimme manier – structuur- en cohesiefondsen, waar ze het bedrag voor het kaderprogramma daadwerkelijk voor dit doel hebben toegezegd – er is 50 miljard euro toegezegd – en gebruik dat geld zodanig dat men in de toekomst in eigen land geholpen kan worden en dat men zichzelf ook helpt bij de mogelijkheid om wereldwijd te concurreren, want de wereld is mondiaal.
