The structural shortcomings in the Czech labour market also mirror low geographical mobility, which results from two principal shortcomings: First, the regulation of housing prices weakens incentives for supply of housing in regions where jobs are created. And second, the weak transport infrastructure increases the costs of commuting and creates obstacles for investment and setting up of new enterprises in the structurally weak regions.
De structurele tekortkomingen van de Tsjechische arbeidsmarkt komen ook tot uiting in een geringe mobiliteit, die het gevolg is van twee belangrijke factoren: ten eerste vermindert de regulering van de huizenprijzen de prikkel om voor huisvesting te zorgen in regio's waar arbeidsplaatsen worden geschapen, en ten tweede verhoogt de gebrekkige vervoersinfrastructuur de kosten voor woon-werkverkeer en vormt deze een belemmering om in de structureel zwakke regio's nieuwe bedrijven op te zetten of daarin te investeren.
