5. Upon a request from the Commission, a Member State shall submit annual reports containing aggregate data on the number of vessels flying its flag that are involved in deep-sea fishing, their fishing area, the type of gear, the size, the number of each type of fishing authorisations issued, their originating port, the total deep-sea fishing opportunities available to its vessels and the aggregate percentage of the use of such fishing opportunities.

5. Op verzoek van de Commissie dient een lidstaat jaarlijks een rapport in met geaggregeerde gegevens over het aantal vaartuigen die zijn vlag voeren en aan diepzeevisserij doen, hun visserijgebied, het vistuigtype, de afmetingen, het nummer van elk type afgegeven vismachtiging, de haven van herkomst, de totale diepzeevangstmogelijkheden die beschikbaar zijn voor zijn vaartuigen en het totale percentage van de benutting van die vangstmogelijkheden.

3. By way of derogation from paragraph 2 of this Article, and until the determination of the existing deep-sea fishing areas in accordance with Article 7, targeting fishing authorisations may be issued provided that the fishing vessel has presented evidence that it had been exercising fishing activities in the deep-sea métier for at least three years before the application for the fishing authorisation is lodged.

3. In afwijking van lid 2 van dit artikel, en in afwachting van de bepaling van de bestaande diepzeevisserijgebieden overeenkomstig artikel 7, kunnen machtigingen voor gerichte visserij worden afgegeven op voorwaarde dat het vaartuig heeft aangetoond dat het gedurende ten minste drie jaar vóór de indiening van de aanvraag voor een vismachtiging visserijactiviteiten in het diepzeemetier heeft uitgevoerd.

In order to ensure uniform conditions for the implementation of this Regulation in respect of the approval of exploratory deep-sea fisheries, and in respect of the adjustment of the determination of the existing deep-sea fishing area in order to include the locations of the fishing activities conducted under a fishing authorisation issued in accordance with this Regulation, implementing powers should be conferred on the Commission.
