40. Calls for a significant increase in the resources available for the new financial supervisory architecture in order to increase its effectiveness, calls, further, for continuous analysis of the effectiveness of the new financial supervisory architecture with the aid of impact assessments and for an evaluation of the long-term option of establishing a single European financial supervisory authority, unifying under its umbrella the current European supervisory authorities and the European Systemic Risk Board;
40. dringt doelmatigheidshalve aan op een forse uitbreiding van de middelen voor de nieuwe architectuur voor financieel toezicht, en verlangt voorts dat er met behulp van effectbeoordelingen een doorlopende analyse wordt opgemaakt van de doeltreffendheid van de nieuwe architectuur voor financieel toezicht en dat de mogelijkheid wordt onderzocht tot instelling op lange termijn van één enkele Europese financiële toezichthouder, waaronder zowel de bestaande Europese toezichthoudende autoriteiten als het Europees Comité voor systeemrisico's zouden moeten ressorteren;
