The study has highlighted the emergence and/or consolidation of a number of trends such as the continuous growth of multi-channel and/or digital platforms, the maintenance of traditional audience share by Public Service and commercial free-to-air stations, the decreasing financial strength and progressive consolidation of all operators, the increase in the importance of subscription revenues, the creation of large integrated and international groups, some of which originate from operators active on other markets: press, consumer electronics, civil engineering and construction.
Uit de studie bleek de opkomst en/of bestendiging van een reeks tendensen zoals de voortdurende groei van multikanaal- en/of digitale platforms, het behoud van het traditionele kijkermarktaandeel door de publieke omroepen en commerciële vrij toegankelijke zenders, het afnemende financiële vermogen en de geleidelijke consolidering van alle exploitanten, het groeiende belang van inkomsten uit abonnementen, de vorming van grote geïntegreerde en internationale groepen, waarvan sommige bestaan uit bedrijven die actief zijn op andere markten: de pers, consumentenelektronica, weg- en waterbouw en de bouwnijverheid.
