— Foreste: fornire, soprattutto attraverso una rete di coordinamento a livello dell'UE, una base concisa e a largo spettro per le informazioni rilevanti per la definizione e l'attuazione di politiche relativamente alle foreste e ai cambiamenti climatici (impatto sugli ecosistemi forestali, mitigazione, effetti della sostituzione), biodiversità (informazione di base e aree forestali protette), incendi boschivi, condizione di boschi e foreste e funzione protettiva delle foreste (acqua, suolo e infrastrutture) nonché contribuire alla protezione di boschi e foreste contro gli incendi.
