Il Parlamento europeo, il Consiglio dell'Unione europea e la Commissione europea convengono che l'articolo 2, paragrafo 1, lettera a), punto ii), del regolamento (UE) n. 231/2014 del Parlamento europeo e del Consiglio, dell'11 marzo 2014, che istituisce uno strumento di assistenza preadesione (IPA II) debba essere interpretato nel senso che esso consente di finanziare programmi volti a rafforzare il rispetto e la protezione delle minoranze in linea con i criteri di Copenaghen, così come è stato per il regolamento (CE) n. 1085/2006 del Consiglio, del 17 luglio 2006, che istituisce uno strumento di assistenza preadesione (IPA).
The European Parliament, the Council of the European Union and the European Commission agree that point (ii) of point (a) of Article 2(1) of Regulation (EU) No 231/2014 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 11 March 2014 establishing an Instrument for Pre-Accession Assistance (IPA II) is to be interpreted as allowing the funding of programmes aimed at enhancing respect for and protection of minorities in line with the Copenhagen criteria, as it was the case under Regulation (EC) No 1085/2006 of the Council of 17 July 2006 establishing an Instrument for Pre-Accession Assistance (IPA).
