Per contro, la Corte di cassazione afferma, in modo assolutamente sbalorditivo, che: ".non risulta da alcun testo legale o convenzionale né da alcun principio costituzionale che questa disposizione (l'art. 100-7 del codice di procedura penale - nota del redattore-) sia applicabile ai rappresentanti al Parlamento europeo", e conclude che tale disposizione riguarda esclusivamente i deputati nazionali francesi.
Astonishingly, however, the Court of Cassation stated that ‘it does not follow from any legal text or agreement, or from any constitutional principle, that this provision’ ( i.e. Article 100-7 of the Code of Criminal Procedure) ‘applies to Members of the European Parliament’, and concluded that the rules in question applied solely to members of the French national parliament.
