Il 30 novembre 2016 il Consiglio di sicurezza ONU ha adottato l'UNSCR 2321 (2016), in cui ha espresso la sua più viva preoccupazione per il test nucleare effettuato dalla RPDC il 9 settembre 2016 in violazione delle pertinenti risoluzioni del Consiglio di sicurezza ONU, condannando inoltre le attività relative al nucleare e ai missili balistici in corso nel paese, che rappresenta una grave violazione delle pertinenti risoluzioni del Consiglio di sicurezza ONU, e ha accertato il persistere di una chiara minaccia alla pace e alla sicurezza internazionali nella regione e al di fuori di essa.
On 30 November 2016, the UN Security Council adopted UNSCR 2321 (2016), expressing its gravest concern at the nuclear test conducted by the DPRK on 9 September 2016 in violation of the relevant UN Security Council resolutions, further condemning the DPRK's ongoing nuclear and ballistic-missile activities in serious violation of the relevant UN Security Council resolutions, and determining that there continues to exist a clear threat to international peace and security in the region and beyond.
