La relazione invita la Commissione a procedere con l'elaborazione di un Libro bianco sulla protezione e sull’adattamento delle foreste ai cambiamenti climatici nell'UE, chiede di approvare un nuovo regolamento sulla prevenzione degli incendi boschivi che sostituisca quello vecchio e un nuovo regolamento sull’informazione sullo stato delle foreste che sostituisca, anch’esso, quello vecchio e auspica, infine, un aumento dei fondi destinati alle foreste nel quadro del secondo pilastro della politica agricola comune.
We are asking for the Commission to proceed with the White Paper on adapting to and protecting forests from climate change, we are asking for a new regulation to replace the old regulation on the prevention of forest fires, we are asking for a new regulation to replace the old regulation on information on the state of forests and, finally, we are asking for an increase in funding for forests under the second pillar of the common agricultural policy.
