Va infine accennato che la scarsa percentuale di successo delle metodiche di procreazione artificiale in vitro, il loro carattere invasivo sul corpo della donna, i problemi etici gravissimi che esse pongono soprattutto in rapporto all'inevitabile spreco e selezione d'embrioni umani, il loro elevato costo in termini economici, esigono una riflessione più attenta e profonda sull'adozione, che dovrebbe essere ulteriormente incoraggiata e le cui regole dovrebbero servire come criterio analogico per disciplinare il fenomeno nuovo della procreazione artificiale.
