The aid contributed towards the financing of: (1) immediate repairs to infrastructure for the supply of energy and water, waste water treatment, transport (including the Prague metropolitan railway system), schools, postal services, and the temporary renewal of telephone networks; (2) the organisation of services for the population affected, in particular providing temporary accommodation, and support for the emergency services; (3) the immediate creation of protective infrastructure, for example the renforcing of river banks and unstable buildings.
Met deze steun zijn de volgende maatregelen gefinancierd: 1) onmiddellijk herstel van infrastructuur op het gebied van onder andere energie- en watervoorziening, afvalwaterzuivering, vervoer (waaronder de metro in Praag), scholen, posterijen en de provisorische vernieuwing van het telefoonnet; 2) organisatie van dienstverlening ten bate van de getroffen bevolkingsgroepen, met name tijdelijke huisvesting, en ondersteuning van de hulpdiensten; 3) onmiddellijke opzet van preventieve infrastructuur, bijvoorbeeld de versterking van oevers en ontzette gebouwen.
