Durante la 17ª conferenza delle parti della convenzione delle Nazioni Unite sul commercio internazionale delle specie minacciate di estinzione (CoP17 CITES), che si terrà dal 24 settembre al 5 ottobre 2016 a Johannesburg, le parti potranno riesaminare l’attuazione della convenzione CITES, che interessa più di 35 000 piante e animali e assicura che il commercio sia legale, tracciabile e sostenibile, nonché adottare nuove misure vincolanti per la tutela delle specie selvatiche.
The 17th Conference of the Parties to the UN Convention on Trade in Endangered Species (CITES CoP17) will take place between 24 September and 5 October 2016 in Johannesburg, South Africa.It provides a forum for Parties to review the implementation of the CITES Convention, which covers more than 35 000 plants and animals, ensuring that trade remains legal, traceable and sustainable, and to adopt new binding measures for wildlife protection.
